The Road goes ever on and onDown from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone,And I must follow, if I can,Pursuing it with eager feet,Until it joins some larger wayWhere many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.
-J.R.R. Tolkien
Fall seems like it's definitely going to be the best season in Ontario though. The summers, which I just missed out on, are fuck-me-to-death hot for weeks and the winters are freezing cold, though not as cold as on the prairies. The wild temperature variation is something that's going to take some getting used to, since we have no huge heat sink to level everything out.
I really, really enjoy watching the leaves change, and the view from my 24th floor apartment is really awesome this time of year.

| This is totally not a mountain. |
Fall is also fun because of Halloween. Trick or treaters aren't allowed to go door to door in our building, which I think is bullshit, so we basically just carved a jack-o-lantern for ourselves. This also means we get delicious roasted pumpkin seeds.

It's very nearly scarf weather, which is pretty much the best thing. I ordered a sweet penannular brooch to hold my scarf together, so life is good.

Edit, October 23rd 9:30 pm.
Kayla and I went for a walk down the Escarpment Rail Trail today, so here is what I'm talking about.
